Has the market taken the spring out of your step, left you feeling a bit flat? Sometimes a simple indulgence is just what the portfolio ordered. So pack up all your cares and woes and indulge in a sparkling wine and food pairing in J Vineyards & Winery's elegant California contemporary Bubble Room. Grab your top hat, leave your children on the doorstep (no one under 21 permitted) and sample urbane sophistication in the heart of Sonoma wine country. Executive Chef Mark E. Caldwell has created a choice of three flights of four gourmet appetizers, each wonderfully paired with red, white or sparkling J wines.
The Minute 00:60 liked everything, but the Indulgence Flight consisting of four sparklers paired with four different caviars is an exceptional experience. If you are not in a sparkling mood, pamper your palate with four J Pinot Noirs or four selections from J's Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Viognier, paired with delicious small plate delicacies. All three flights are topped off with scrumptious triple chocolate almonds. Although the Bubble Room is "forever blowing bubbles," the wine and food selections change regularly, so check J's well done website and book in advance.
Ain't got a barrel of money? No problem, this indulgence costs $55 per person ($45 for Club J members). While you are there, take time to enjoy the tour of how American sparkling wines are made. Schedule it about an hour before the tasting.
