Healdsburg Soap Company
December 5, 2008
Looking to impress your hostess for an upcoming party? Searching for a sublime gift for your devoted friend's 40th birthday? Or best of all, why not pamper yourself with a guilt-free indulgence?
Visit or Web shop your way right to an artisan bath and body store in Sonoma's wine country - Healdsburg Soap Company. Jennifer Togher started at the local farmers market, where you can still purchase her soaps from May through November. The company has now transcended into an e-commerce website and retail store located just off the downtown Healdsburg plaza square.
You may choose among handmade soaps of lavender, chamomile, olive oil, honey, sage and roses, each harvested in Sonoma County. In addition to their wine country roots, Togher explains "the soaps are made using an old-fashioned cold process, all the soaps are cut with wire by hand, and then cured for 30 days." In addition, soaps are made in small batches to assure the highest quality.
All year long the shop offers soaps inspired by wine varietals such as pinot noir, zinfandel and sauvignon blanc. Special scents for each season are also available. This winter ripe citrus and bold peppermint are featured. For a more personalized approach, they can even assimilate scents from your own garden or duplicate the scent of your favorite Sonoma wine!
As you'd expect, Healdsburg Soap Company has a small but carefully crafted selection of handmade products, gift ideas, and accessories. Even one for man's best friend (especially if your pooch has sensitive skin).
